The Government of Maharashtra has implemented an electronic payment system as an alternative to traditional payment methods. This initiative aims to streamline the process of settling taxes and fees by providing a secure and convenient online transaction option.

The online payment platform for Maharashtra State Taxes has been developed to integrate with various banking portals, ensuring that there is no disruption to the existing procedures followed by the Department's administrative and accounting bodies.

To utilize this e-payment facility, taxpayers are required to possess a net-banking account with any of the banks listed on the government’s official portal. Additionally, a limited number of banks offer the option to make payments at bank counters for those who do not have a net-banking account with participating financial institutions.
